Johns Hopkins Travel Medicine specializes in preparing the International Traveler for a healthy trip abroad. Individualized pretravelconsultations provide; culturally- sensitive current health advice to promote health and prevent illness and injury abroad, immunization recommendations andrequirements and medications for malaria prevention, diarrhea treatment, altitude sickness, jet lag and others. Consultations are also available for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up, should illnesses develop and persist post travel. Staff have extensive experience both abroad and in the USA and work with the JHU community, tourists, travel agents, government, the academic community, businesses, diplomatic organizations, missionaries, and others engaged in work and travel abroad in the public and private sectors.
